Hotspot.webui

AT&T

Instead of a numeric IP address, some routers by AT&T use Hotspot.webui as a memorable web address for the admin panel. Enter it in your browser to access the login page.

What is Hotspot.webui?

Hotspot.webui is a local web address that gives you access to the admin panel of your AT&T hotspot. This address only works when you are connected to the hotspot's network.

Compared to a numeric IP address, Hotspot.webui is easier to remember and is provided by the manufacturer as a convenient alternative for accessing the settings page.

How to access the router login page

  1. 1

Make sure your device (computer, phone, or tablet) is connected to the hotspot — either via Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable plugged directly into the hotspot.

  2. 2

Open a browser and enter your router's IP address in the address bar. The address is usually printed on a sticker on the bottom or back of the device.

  3. 3

Wait for the login page to appear. This may take a few seconds.

  4. 4

Enter the login credentials. If you have never changed them, check the sticker on the back of the hotspot or the documentation from your Internet provider.

  5. 5

After logging in, you will see the hotspot dashboard where you can manage all settings.

Troubleshooting

Common router troubleshooting steps: disable VPN, try a different browser, clear cache, use Ethernet

Cannot reach Hotspot.webui in your browser? Hostname resolution issues, incorrect credentials, and network configuration problems are among the most common causes. Use the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue.

Hotspot.webui does not open — try the IP address

If the hostname does not resolve, try using the numeric IP address instead. Some network configurations or DNS settings may prevent the hostname from working.

Login credentials are not accepted

The default credentials may have been changed by you or your ISP. Check the sticker on the back of the hotspot for the current password. If it was changed and you cannot remember it, a factory reset will restore the defaults.

The page loads very slowly or times out

Disable any VPN or proxy settings on your device. Try a different browser or use incognito/private mode. Clear the browser cache. If you are connected via Wi-Fi, try using an Ethernet cable instead.

Firewall or security software blocking access

Some antivirus or firewall software may block access to local IP addresses. Temporarily disable the firewall and try again. On company or managed devices, your IT department may have restricted access to the admin page.

How to reset the hotspot to factory settings

Locate the small reset button on the back of the hotspot (you may need a paperclip). Press and hold it for at least 10 seconds until the LEDs start blinking. The hotspot will restart with the factory defaults, including the original login credentials.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change the Wi-Fi password?
Log in to the hotspot admin panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi security settings, and enter a new password. Click Save or Apply. All connected devices will need to reconnect with the new password.
How do I find my hotspot's IP address?
On Windows, open Command Prompt and type "ipconfig" — look for "Default Gateway". On macOS, go to System Settings > Network and check the address. On a phone, look in the Wi-Fi network details.
How do I change the Wi-Fi name (SSID)?
In the hotspot admin panel, open the Wi-Fi settings and find the field for the network name (SSID). Enter the new name and save the changes. Your devices will find the network under the new name.
How do I reset the hotspot to factory settings?
Press and hold the reset button on the back of the hotspot for at least 10 seconds. The hotspot will restart with factory defaults, including the original login credentials. Note that this will also erase any custom settings.
My ISP changed the default credentials — what now?
Many Internet service providers set custom login credentials during installation. Check the documentation your ISP provided, or contact their support. A factory reset will restore manufacturer defaults but may also reset Internet connection settings.
